No longer do people have to look at your messy background, your kids or a boring white wall. If you didn’t know, you can change the background of Zoom. We’re all now Zoom devotees using it for work meetings or catch-ups with friends and family. This video conferencing app has been an asset through this pandemic. You can add as many pictures or videos as you want, and all of them will be there the next time you open the app.Have some fun on your Zoom calls and change up your virtual background. If you click the plus sign on the right side of the Zoom window, select Add Image to use any picture stored on your computer.
Note: If you select Blur, it will make your background opaque, but it will also blur out any objects that are too close or far from your camera, including objects you are holding.
Then scroll down to Virtual background under In Meeting (Advanced) and click the slider to the right to enable it. Note: If you don’t see this option, go to /profile/setting and sign in to your account.
You will see this in the left sidebar of the Settings window that pops up. It might have a picture of you or your initials. You will see this in the top-right corner of the window. Once you click the link, the app will automatically start downloading the installation package. If you don’t already have the desktop app, you can download it from Zoom here. Open the Zoom desktop app and sign in.Finally, choose one of the default backgrounds or click the plus sign and select Add Image to upload your own image. Then select Background & Filters from the left sidebar. To change your background on Zoom, open the desktop app and click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
